Eller Corporation is a mid-sized Heavy Civil contractor committed to excellence and providing top-notch services/products to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and contribute to our financial stability and growth.
Job Summary:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting duties for the company as well as processing weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the general ledger.
Process accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and oversee credit card useage.
Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and reconciling transactions.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements.
Prepare weekly payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
Process and file all weekly, quarterly and annual PAYROLL REPORTS to the proper government agencies
Prepare budgets and forecasts to assist in financial planning and analysis.
Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with payroll knowledge.
Proficiency with integrated accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge in filing for the Department of Revenue and City Tax
Knowledge and understanding of Payroll deductions, Federal and State regulations
Experience with prevailing wages/certified payroll.
