We are looking to add a Staff Accountant to our Spokane, WA team. The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the recurring settlement of client cash positions. It is a high volume, process-oriented position suitable to someone with an eye for details and a strong reconciliation/analysis background.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciling event data between billing, sales, and system reports
- Reconciling cash activity between system reports and bank statements
- Researching variances and troubleshooting issues
- Processing bank transfers and settlement batches
- Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Responding to client and internal inquiries
- Performing credit card chargeback investigations
- Ad hoc projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- Excellent computer and Excel skills
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong familiarity with accounting principles and processes
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
