Job Description:
The Spray Technician is responsible for the mixing and application of various chemicals with various tools and equipment on the required properties.
Basic / Essential Functions
· Knowledge of chemical application equipment
· Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation calibration of spray and application tools and equipment
· Self-motivated and customer-centric.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Reliable and dependable.
· Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, crawl, and walk.
· Ability to lift 60 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Required safety inspections on all spraying equipment.
· Understands and applies the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
· Update SDS books and record current chemicals in stock.
· Understands how to read and apply product labels
· Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations.
· Operates sprayers (hand, truck mounted and mechanical) and spreaders (hand and equipment).
· Manage inventory and usage of applications, pesticides, and fertilizers.
· If available, operate Deice trucks for winter season events.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Use of time management and information tools on a computer or tablet.
Requirements:
· Current and valid Driver's license
· Current WSDA License or current transferable License
· Availability to work overtime and some weekends if needed
