Opening for Dental Assistant Position

Work schedule, we only work 3 days a week - Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s. That means you get a 4-day weekend, every week of the year. Who wouldn’t want that?
We are a one doctor practice, and he is a great doctor to work with.
Patients are like family and always treated that way.
Job Duties:
Welcome Patients: greet and seat patients, making them feel comfortable and welcome.
Assist with procedures: working chair-side with the doctor, carrying out all chairside duties with professionalism and a joyful character.
- X-rays-FMX, BWX, PA’s, Pano
- Charting for new patient exams
- All basic restorative procedures
- All major restorative procedures
- Oral surgery - mainly extractions
- Child prophy’s
- Prepare cases for lab work - pour models, write lab Rx
Chart Notes: recording all treatment provided to the patient at the close of patient’s appointment.
Room set-up and take down: keeping rooms clean, organized and stocked with at hand supplies/materials, and ready for the next patient.
Sterilization: you are responsible for the sterilization of your own instruments, however; you also will be willing and kind to help out any other staff in need of assistance in the sterilization area.
Supportive: helpful to other staff members including fellow assistants, hygienists and front office.
Flexible: you can always expect a change in the day-to-day schedule, be ready and willing to make necessary adjustments and put in the effort to make the day flow as smoothly as possible.

Experience:
Dental Assisting: 1 year preferred, but willing to review all interested applicants with a driven desire to make a commitment and a willingness to learn and grow.
