What do our caregivers do? Our caregivers can work independently to provide personal care one on one with clients and sometimes their spouses. They typically travel to a clients home and help them perform basic tasks like cleaning the house, bathing the client, dressing, transferring, meal prep, medication reminders and companionship. Caregivers may at times also be responsible for driving and escorting clients to appointments, grocery trips, and other important errands. They may also help the client with any mobility issues, like helping them in and out of their beds or chairs and pushing them in wheelchairs.
What Skills and Qualifications do you Need?
Caregivers need a wide mix of skills. They need to be organized and able to multitask. Must be willing and able to help with a range of household tasks, such as meal preparation, dishes, laundry, and other basic household chores. Depending on the level of care you provide, caregivers will need several specialized skills, such as: Experience with Alzheimer's or dementia care, ability to understand and follow a care plan, understanding of what to do in an emergency, how to provide personal care in a bed, and specialized disease-specific care. Qualified caregivers understand the and possess the ability to maintain positive, professional boundaries with clients at all times. What makes a great Caregiver?
A strong caregiver should be compassionate and friendly, as they're regularly working with clients, providing them with a positive and encouraging atmosphere. It's also important for the caregiver to hold a driver's license and insurance so they can easily transport the client to and from their appointments and errands.
What settings do Caregivers typically work in?
Most caregivers work in a patient's home helping to provide personal care and also assisting with the upkeep of their home if needed. Other Caregivers may work in a nursing home or assisted living taking care of elderly clients and providing basic care services like bathing, feeding, and companionship.

This listing is for Licensed Caregivers with Dementia experience available for nights and weekends on the Northside.
We are also hiring for all other shifts and locations. You are welcome to work with ASC around another job. Our PT caregivers have flexibility at their fingertips. Shifts offered based on YOUR availability. Can you only work a couple of evenings a week? We have work for you! Can you only work on the weekend? We have work for you! Can you work a few hours during the day? WE HAVE WORK FOR YOU!

As a Home Care Aide, we support clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands. Assists clients by providing personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
