Cabinet Designer/Drafter –

Job Type: Full Time "Internal Seat Position"
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday

Candela Construction focuses on high-end commercial architectural casework and finish carpentry, working on a variety of projects including: medical facilities, office space, hotels, casinos, restaurants, schools, condos, and everything in between
We’re looking to add another talented Cabinet Designer/Drafter to our team.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and modify casework in Cabinet Vision based on takeoff from architectural plans, specifications, company standards and field conditions.
Provide submittals, CNC cut lists, work instructions, technical drawings, installation instructions and other production documents.
Produce material summaries and purchase requisitions given to Procurement Department.
Identify and communicate potential design problems with the rest of the team.
Assist the Sales Team, Project Manager, and other Department Leads to see projects through to completion.
Ideal Qualifications:
In House Position
Relevant experience drafting in manufacturing, construction or related areas.
Cabinet design experience a plus.
Experience with CAD software required.
Cabinet Vision experience not required but highly preferred.
Proficient with computers, including MS Office and Adobe.
Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings, CAD drawings, and engineering specifications.
Knowledge of material and machinery tooling.
CNC machining knowledge a plus.
Must show strong attention to detail and effectively troubleshoot problems.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks across departments and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, while being an active listener.
AA Degree (or higher) in Drafting/CAD is desired, but can be substituted with work experience.
