EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Mobility and Senior Services Manager will oversee the operations of our Senior & Disabled Volunteer Services Program and other transportation services. The Manager will oversee staffing, strategic planning, partnership building, program development, financial sustainability, volunteer recruitment, and reporting. The position will serve as a liaison with funders and partner agencies. The Manager will serve as a member of the agency’s Leadership team and will work to develop our transportation and senior services across the county. This will be a full-time salary exempt position based out of our Mount Vernon office.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Senior & Disabled Volunteer Services Program and transportation services.

2. Supervise, train, and support program staff, interns, and volunteers.

3. Will serve as back up to program coordinators and specialist. May require occasional transportation for Medicaid and non-4. Medicaid clients, and coordination of volunteer activities to seniors and disabled clients.

5. Oversee overall program budgets, monitoring, documentation, and compliance.

6. Ensure programs are adequately staffed and operating within budgets.

7. Manage usage of program vehicles used for client services.

8. Advance and grow program through information and marketing at appropriate locations across the county.

9. Build partnerships with other community institutions, such as Anacortes Senior Center, local hospitals, and/or service organizations in order to expand and grow services and volunteerism.

10. Create and chair county-wide transportation coalition to connect and identify gaps and useful services.

11. Actively recruit volunteers for the Senior & Disabled Volunteer Services program and other transportation services.

12. Learn about the environment of senior services and needs and engage with agency leadership as an expertise in this area.

13. Research, identify, and document best practices in mobility programs. Create guidelines and standard operating procedures for agency as needed.

14. Research and secure resources toward long-term sustainability of the programs.

15. Promote a healthy, transparent, professional, and kind work environment.

16. Participate in agency, community and coalition meetings and trainings as required.

17.Other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Education & Experience:

-Associates Degree Required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

-Supervisory experience desired.

-Experience in senior services and/or mobility and transportation services preferred.

-Experience fundraising and working with community partners and coalitions preferred.

-Or a combination of education/experience meeting required job qualifications.-

License(s) & Certification(s):

-Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance required for work related travel.

-First Aid & CPR Certified.

-All Certifications must be obtained within first 6 months of hire.-

Skills & Abilities

-Aptitude for fund development and grant writing.

-Creative problem solving skills are essential.

-Strong supervisory skills.

-Strong organizational and time management skills required, with the ability to multitask.

-Must have strong and effective communication skills (oral and written).

-Ability to be an effective and positive ambassador for the agency.

-Competency of standard office procedures and equipment.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

-Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational and experiential backgrounds.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Starting wage between $6,205.89 - $6,686.12 per month (DOE)
