Microvellum Engineer

Hello,

We are Skagit Architectural Millwork, and we are seeking a drafting engineer to add to our growing team.

The individual in this role will use Microvellum and other applications to create shop drawings for submittals and shop drawing purposes. The individual should know how to process CNC cut lists and G-Code, as well as draw custom CNC programs to assist with our production needs. Must have previous Microvellum experience and be proficient in its use.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Reading and interpreting architectural construction documents including drawings and specs.

- Gather pertinent information related to the project including material and hardware specifications.

- Drafting casework and millwork per project documents and quotes, and per our standards and details which may include AWI QCP Certified work.

- Revise shop drawings with field dimensions and client notes.

- Utilize Microvellum to generate CNC work orders and cut lists for manufacturing.

- Coordinate with the Production Manger other executives to ensure schedule is adhered to.

- Communicate with general contractors for submittals, RFIs, substitutions etc.

Requirements to succeed:

- Ability to read blue prints and construction documents.

- Experience drafting with Microvellum is required.

- Ability to develop portions of a project with little oversight.

- Knowledgeable in architectural drafting and detailing techniques.

- Strong design skills.

- Technical understanding of construction and processes.

- An interest in growing with the company.

- Experience using Alphacam is desired, but not required.

Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally on the phone, in email, and in person.

Compensation DOE, and negotiable depending on previous experience in related fields of architecture, cabinetry, casework, millwork, construction, etc.

Expected hours:

40 Hours Mon - Thur 6am-430pm
