Excel Transport, Inc. is the Inland Northwest’s premier carrier of sawmill wood residuals, biomass products and residual waste. Priding ourselves in excellent customer service, we feel we set the standard in services the sawmills, landfills and transfer stations throughout the Inland Northwest. Due to a retirement, we are looking to add a lead mechanic to our shop in Lewiston, Idaho. Relocation assistance to Idaho will be available for the right candidate.
Our Lewiston mechanics are responsible for maintaining both tractors and trailers. A wide range of repairs are common, main focus being on preventive maintenance and the day-to-day drop-in repairs that are needed to keep the equipment rolling.
This position works Monday – Friday 6:00 am– 2:30 pm
Job Duties:
Welding skills, hydraulic repair, and troubleshooting preferred
Experience with Class 8 truck/trailer air brake systems
Must have own basic hand tools - shop tools will be supplied
Position will include routine maintenance to heavy repairs
A Successful candidate will have:
Proven experience with class 8 tractor / trailer repair.
Experience with air brake systems.
Knowledge of Suspension and Drive train repair.
Basic set of tools and box. (Large and specialty tools provided)
Valid drivers license with ability to obtain DOT card.
Strong Customer Service mindset: Willing to go above and beyond to make our drivers feel they are getting the respect they deserve and their trucks are getting the attention they need.
