JOB DESCRIPTION
Rootstock Suppliers is a plant brokering and plant transportation company. We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, driver to pick up and transport plants to our customer located in Auburn, WA. 2022 Freightliner M26 (26’ Box Truck) will be picked up and dropped off daily at company location followed by drop off materials at 6am next morning. Hours and nursery pickup locations will vary daily as well as workdays will vary from 2-5 days. Typical schedule is as follows:
5:30am pickup (in Lake Tapps) of truck and drive to Washington or Oregon nursery(s) for pickup. If driving to Oregon you will have 1-3 pickup locations. Stops are within 150 air mile radius of Lake Tapps.
OR
If truck has plant material in it from previous day, 5:30am pickup (in Lake Tapps) and drop off of plant materials (in Auburn) at 6am. After approximate 30 minute drop off is complete then you will drive to either Washington or Oregon Nurseries for plant pickups. After those plant pickups are complete you will bring truck/plants back to Lake Tapps location. You will have routes planned and communicated to you 2-3 days in advance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Washington State Driver’s license with clean driving record. CLD not required. Driver’s background check will be required
Be able to pass Driver’s Medical Exam
Ability to frequently lift and/or move 5 to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds each day
Ability to drive for up to ten (10) hours per day with frequent stops
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, if needed. 6:00am start times
Climbing up and down back of truck, operating lift gate
Work outside in all-weather condition
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will represent Rootstock Suppliers in a professional, customer-focused and quality manner. You are the face of our business!
You will have frequent interactions with our customers, vendors
Transport plants from Washington and Oregon nurseries to customer
Frequently help to load plants at nurseries and unload at customer’s site
Plant health checks to ensure product quality
Must log hours and trip locations daily, on provided Driver’s Time Record
Maintain professional appearance of vehicle
Notify supervisor when service or repairs are required
Ensure you are within truck weight limits AT ALL TIMES. 9700lbs capacity in box of truck.

Wage: $30.00 per hour
