Summary:
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Courier Driver/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for delivering packages and freight within a designated local area, while also assisting with maintaining an organized warehouse and performing basic vehicle repairs. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as a member of our team.
Responsibilities:
Deliver packages and freight to customers within designated local routes
Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
Ensure packages are delivered in a timely and safe manner
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues
Assist with loading and unloading packages and freight
Maintain an organized warehouse, including inventory management and stock rotation
Perform basic vehicle repairs, such as changing tires, oil changes, and brake pads
Keep accurate records of deliveries, maintenance, and repairs
Comply with all company policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
21 years of age, minimum
No felony convictions
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
At least 1 year of experience as a courier driver
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 100 lbs
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
Additional Information:
Part-time to start, possibly working into full-time.
Some holiday work, weekend schedule, occasional overtime.
Benefits & Pay:
Starting wage $20.00/hr, DOE
Sick pay accrual, complies with Washington State Regulations
