Since 2006, CA James has been a trusted construction consulting and contracting company in the Greater Seattle Area. We have completed numerous residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. As the region's urbanization has increased, our focus has expanded to include multi-family buildings, small efficiency dwelling units (SEDUs), and apartment buildings. This is a full-time position as a skilled journey-level Carpenter. The skilled carpenter will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks associated with several CA James projects including remodels, residential and multi-family project punchlists, warranty work and custom home details. We sub out the majority of our work but on smaller projects we are hands-on with multiple scopes of work. The ideal candidates will have experience and comfort with not only rough and finish carpentry but also light plumbing, electrical, rebar, framing, drywall and concrete work, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Carpentry, framing, and finish carpentry skills a must

Experience with power tools and self-provided hand tools

Knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, appropriate materials

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

Physical strength and stamina

A sense of realistic urgency with attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent problem-solving skills and prior use of BuilderTrend a plus

Effective communication, documentation and teamwork skills

Knowledge of safety requirements, OSHA, First Aid+CPR Certified

Good driving record and willing to take a background and drug test
