Job Description
In this position you will be responsible for reviewing proposals, drawings and attending pre-bid meetings. You will manage production estimates, budgets, schedules, equipment costs and negotiate contracts.
The Estimator/Project Manager will prepare bids and manage field operations to project completion. The Estimator/Project Manager will report to the owner.
PROJECT TYPES:
Heavy Civil Construction, grading and excavation. (earth-moving and dirt works.)
Site development for home tracts, roads and underground utilities.
KEY REPSONSIBILITIES:
Be able to identify bid opportunities, evaluate and complete bids, material take-offs.
Coordinate and provide support to field and sales staff and manage the project from bid to completion.
Continually track project to ensure it is on track and billing is accurate.
Consult with clients, vendors and other individuals on bidding documents.
Develop the most effective means and methods of construction.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience bidding on public and private projects for doing earthwork and utilities.
Strong work ethic, team player with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent judgement, problem-solving and mathematical skills required
Bluebeam experience is a plus.
