CKC Laboratories, Inc. has opened a rapidly growing environmental and dynamics testing laboratory as part of our network of compliance testing labs. This new division is focused on the Seattle military, aerospace and medical devices. We are seeking a highly motivated multi-tasker to join our team as a Test Technician for Aerospace/Medical Product Testing. This position will provide a broad range of experience in environmental, dynamics and product testing. This position will also allow opportunities for test setup, instrumentation, data gathering and analysis, and fabrication. We are looking for a hard working and dedicated professional with prior test lab experience
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Setting up and running tests
Working with customers
Documenting test and results
Performing maintenance and repairs on equipment
Keeping Laboratory clean and organized
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
A successful candidate will possess 2-5 years of technical/vocational training in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Associates Degree with test lab experience preferred. Entry Level OK, good attitude & common sense.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer testing specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, data and details furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have valid Drivers License, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.
Must meet DOT background check and medical requirements.
Physical Demands
Frequency of required physical force: Occasional (moderate).
Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. sporadically.
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically.
Work is performed mainly indoors.
Other Skills and Abilities
Interpreting testing procedures and requirements.
Engineering background with test lab experience (RTCA DO-160, MIL810) prefered
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel). Labview a plus
Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of projects.
Ability to remain calm when faced with pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities.
Well developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication.
Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements.
Machining/Fabrication experience
This is a day shift position however long days and occasional weekend work may be needed.
ITAR Qualification
