Maintenance Position at New Alaska RV Mobile Home Park - Free Rent in Remodeled Home!
Are you a responsible, mature, semi-retired individual with basic plumbing and electrical skills looking for a part-time gig in exchange for comfortable living? We’re seeking a reliable maintenance person for our small RV park, built in the 1950s, located in the Midway area of Kent West Hill—about 15 miles from both Seattle and Tacoma.
Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing: Basic skills required (e.g., snaking pipes, repairing breaks in clay lines by digging up and adding connectors). We’ll provide on-the-job training for park-specific tasks.
Electrical: Troubleshooting and fixing breakers or simple RV hookup issues.
Landscaping & Equipment: Operating tools like blowers, mowers, hedge trimmers, and cement cutters.
Basic Remodels: Preparing units for re-rental after move-outs, including minor repairs and updates.
This is a part-time role (flexible hours, on-duty as needed). Compensation: a cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom brick home (originally built in the 1950s and recently remodeled), complete with an orchard, garden space, 2-car garage, and a 6-foot privacy fence for full seclusion. The home is valued at approximately $3,000 per month based on local market rates.
Prime Location: 2705 S. 240th St., Kent, WA 98032—right by Highline Community College, the new Kent/Des Moines Light Rail station (opening in 2026), a boat marina, and Saltwater State Park.
This is a barter arrangement, so no taxes are withheld. If you’re handy, dependable, and prefer a low-key lifestyle, this could be perfect!
