ROLE
Highly skilled in the craft of installing prefabricated wood and metal products. Our Installers will utilize their extensive knowledge to facilitate our installation processes from start to finish. They will individually represent Creoworks, as well as being able to lead a crew, through each in-house or onsite installation. They can clearly communicate issues that arise and help troubleshoot as needed. This position requires high attention to detail and the abilities to work well with a team along the way.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Leverage/read drawings, blueprints, sketches, and installation aids to ensure accurate execution
Oversee/manage execution and quality control for crew at installation
Inspect finished product for deficiencies, review job sites for issues, and ensure dimensions are to specification
Utilize a variety of hand tools to cut/shape/modify and install finished wood/millwork and metal products
Perform work as directed/assigned and maintain a detail-oriented attitude
Ability to work with team members to assure adequate and timely completion of projects
Comfortable communicating with jobsite GC superintendents and foreman, and the ability to interact and work together with other trades for overall success
Report field updates / changes / progress to Operations Director
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain organized and clean work area, taking proper care of all equipment and facilities
Wear appropriate PPE as required, including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, respiratory protection, etc.
Participate in training and development program for employees, as appropriate
Manages intake of material, notifying supervisor/project manager of damaged products or material in a timely manner
Demonstrate effective team member skills with open and positive communication regarding production, safety, and quality issues
Maintain SDS log
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
Ability to perform multiple tasks that require extensive physical labor, including lifting, climbing, bending, twisting, and operating handheld finishing tools
Have excellent hand-eye coordination, be able to move their hands quickly, and be able to grasp and assemble objects with hands
Must have the ability to read blueprints and see details at close range, as well as from a distance. When operating machines, they must be able to see the gauges and dials to make sure everything is functioning properly and be able to perceive how near or how far to move equipment.
Be in good physical condition and have the strength and endurance to complete installations efficiently and safely (ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs.)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires field knowledge of metal and woodworking techniques and associated equipment
Experience working in custom installation of both wood and metal products
Experience with high-end furniture, cabinetry, architectural pieces a plus
Ability to work independently or lead a team of installers
Must be self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills
Clean driving record required
