HVAC Installer/Technician - Commissioning Exp Required

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer/Technician for an immediate opening supporting residential and commercial projects in Kent, WA and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering consistent hours, with potential for permanent hire. Candidates must be flexible and able to work at multiple job sites as needed.

Position Overview:

Pay: $30 and up per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week, with overtime as required

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Job Responsibilities:

As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will:

Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and ductwork

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC units and systems in both residential and commercial settings

Perform HVAC commissioning, including:

Testing and verifying HVAC system performance

Ensuring components (mechanical, electrical, and controls) are installed and functioning properly

Balancing airflow and temperatures

Resolving deficiencies to meet design specifications and client expectations

Collaborating with contractors or engineers for final inspections and turnover

Set up and service:

Air Handling Units (AHUs)

Make-Up Air Units (MAUs)

DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems)

VAVs (Variable Air Volume units)

Mini-splits, chillers, thermostats, duct systems, and controls

Perform mechanical startups and verify safe and efficient system operation

Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas

Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years of HVAC experience (residential and/or commercial)

Proven experience in HVAC commissioning

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and HVAC layouts

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must have own basic HVAC hand tools and use appropriate PPE

EPA Certification is preferred
