Reports To: Civil Construction Superintendent, Civil Division Manager
Position Overview
A Advanced Septic and Construction Services is hiring a Civil Construction Field Foreman to lead field operations on civil projects. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and expertise in grading, excavation, and slope calculation. You'll manage crews, subcontractors, site safety, and ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field operations and assign crew tasks
- Track project progress, schedules, and budget
- Maintain daily reports and communicate with leadership
- Ensure quality control, site safety, and compliance
- Conduct site inspections and weekly safety meetings
- Train and mentor field staff in excavation, utilities, and equipment use
- Calculate slopes and grades using GPS, laser levels, and rotator lasers
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Requirements
Experience:
- 5+ years in construction, 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Storm, sewer, and water pipe installation
- Heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavators)
Skills:
- Team leadership, communication, and training
- OSHA knowledge and ditch safety compliance
- Slope/grading calculations and layout tools proficiency
- Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset
Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid CDL (required),
CDL A preferred
- Clean MVR
- Must pass background check and drug test
Physical:
- Lift up to 90lbs
- Work in all weather conditions
- Available for emergency/after-hours repairs
