Legend Auto Service, looking for mechanic that can diagnose, recommend repairs and repair vehicles. We work on many different types of vehicles. Need to be able to repair AC, Timing belts, Timing Chains, Replace engines, Replace transmisisons, Suspension work, Brakes, Drivelines, Electrical Diagnosis and Repair, Etc. Looking for someone with Experience.
Duties and responsibilities
Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance
Completes full safety inspections
Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer.
Provide advisors with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain approval prior to commencing work.
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine if any other problems exist.
Describe the vehicle condition to the advisor and answer any follow up questions.
Troubleshoots and conducts both mechanical and electrical diagnoses
Performs all mechanical duties within the scope of experience and/or Certifications deemed necessary for specific repairs
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Team player and ability to work collaboratively
Current, valid Washington State Driver’s License
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
Previous experience in automotive industry
Attention to detail
ASE certification preferred but not required.
5+ years of automotive repair experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
Perform alignments, inspections, repairs
Perform ac diagnosis and repair
Perform safety inspections and provide recommendations to advisor on what is needed.
