Position: Data ScientistLocation: Seattle, WA – remote ok – must be willing to work PSTDuration: 12 monthsContract C2CExperience Levels:10+ YearsSkill Sets:· Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics/Economics/Math/Computer Science or related field · Experience in SQL, R, Python to implement statistical models, machine learning, and analysis (Recommenders, Prediction, Classification, Clustering, etc.) in big data environment · Experience on large scale computing systems like COSMOS, Hadoop, MapReduce and/or similar systems preferred · Experience with programming skills, e.g. Java, C# is a plus · Exceptional written and verbal communication to educate and work with cross functional teams · Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data

Job Description:· Work within a complex BI / Reporting function in the Finance domain. · Design, prototype, implement and test descriptive, predictive analytics, forecasting, and causal inference models · Explore and correlate large data sets to uncover gaps · Work with data engineers to architect and develop operational models that run at scale · Partner with teams to identify and explore opportunities for the application of machine learning and predictive analysis · Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, and contribute modeling expertise as a team player · Identify and implement complex intelligent rules to maintain high effectiveness based on analysis of the issues. · Manage and constantly improve the intelligent systems and models by improving data used for training. · Define processes and automation for scaling to large number of models. · Define and manage effectiveness and quality metrics. · Participate actively in requirement gathering, detailed design, code reviews, and bug discussions and drive discussions around appropriate solutions. · Ability to work independently. · Interaction with team members in different time zones to handover / transition work progress and vice versa Sridhar GP: nine one nine -two three four- seven five one fiveE: Sridhar(at)torquetek(dot)comTorque Technologies is an “Equal Opportunity Employer” and “Those authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship are encouraged to applies & all other parties authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.”
