About Us:
At Groomer's Best Friend, we are passionate about providing top-notch services to our customers in the pet grooming industry. We’re expanding our team as we introduce knife sharpening at our Kirkland location, alongside our existing mail-in, drop-off, and mobile sharpening services. As we grow, we need a talented individual to join our team as a Sales Representative / Sharpener to help manage the increasing demand.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Representative / Sharpener, you will be responsible for sharpening knives and scissors, both in-shop and via mobile services, in one of our specially equipped vans. In this role, you’ll receive hands-on training to become proficient in sharpening techniques, while working alongside a full-time scheduler who will ensure you stay busy with scheduled appointments, minimizing the need for cold calling. Once you’ve developed your skills and can work independently, you will transition to a performance-based pay structure, offering significant earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-shop and mobile knife and scissor sharpening services.
Travel to customer locations in one of our fully equipped mobile vans.
Work with our scheduler to meet daily appointment demands.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction and quality sharpening.
Learn and master sharpening techniques through training (both in-shop and mobile).
Increase sales by effectively selling sharpening services and products.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and safe to use.
Qualifications
Must enjoy working with hands and have good problem-solving skills.
Clean driving record required.
Comfortable with traveling to customer locations via a company-provided van.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new skills, especially knife and scissor sharpening.
Compensation
Training pay: $20/hour while learning sharpening skills.
Once fully trained and independent, compensation will transition to a percentage-based pay structure.
Earning potential: $65,000 - $100,000+ annually, based on sharpening volume, salesmanship, and overall quality of work. Unlimited earning potential for a motivated individual!
