Systems Eng II 6 month contract duration
Looking for a Systems Engineer II to join this team with a big enterprise goal!SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED - Audit, improve and maintain subsidiary CS environments - Support user management (onboarding / offboarding) - Assist in emergent deployment of updates in response to an incident / potential incident - Manage configuration (e.g. policies, allowlist / denylist operations) in partnership with security engineers - Perform testing of new configurations (e.g. test performance, test policy impact, etc.). - Document and update runbooks - Participate in on-call - Support onboarding of newly acquired companies to CS REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelors degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, DevSecOps, or Systems Engineering capacity. Experience in automation via scripting and one or more configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, CloudFormation, and Terraform Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining documentation Bash experience plus knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby) Experience working with logging, querying, and security event management system Experience conducting audits of existing solutions, and implementing processes to improve operational excellence Experience working with different Operating Systems such as Unix/Linux, macOS, and Windows Understanding and demonstrated experience working with core internet technologies and networking. Experience working with security engineers and cross functional teams. Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule Experience working with agent-based endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike preferred, but not required).EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
