Job Summary:
Retail Sales Associated for our retail Furniture store of gently used & new furniture. Providing customer service to customers and managing the sales floor with pricing and managing our retail floor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist them in the purchase of furniture and decor.
Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
Ensure all customers understand the mission of NW Furniture Bank.
Understand and help attain monthly sales goals.
Use a keen merchandising eye to set up the showroom
Accurately and securely count and handle cash and credit cards.
Check phone messages and follow up as needed.
Initiate resets and changes to the showroom.
Maintain a clean selling environment, including cleaning the restrooms and breakroom.
Help price, inventory, photograph and manage posts on Craig’s list and or Offer Up.
Willingness to quickly learn new tasks as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel
Excellent people and phone skills.
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with the public, donors and volunteers.
Education and Experience:
Office and organizational experience preferred
Experience with Sales Force or comparable software
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of time on your feet
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
