SOUND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES Sound Employment Services assists persons with disabilities to find, maintain, and advance in careers that fulfill their individual needs and aspirations. Some of our Clients have been with Sound Employment since 1987. Our small by design company takes the time to focus on individual needs of our clients and their employers. Our Staff at Sound Employment has over 50 years of combined experience in Social Services.
Services Sound Employment Provides
Employment Discovery/Assessment to determine interests and abilities of participant
Volunteer Work Placement, if applicable to gain work experience
Job Development seeking jobs that match the person’s abilities and job interest in the community.
Employer Education/Co-Worker Training to establish natural supports in the workplace
Job Training individual job coaching
Job Retention follow-up/consultation Services
Job Replacement assistance in securing jobs
Career Enhancement assistance in job advancement
Community Education presentations to increase disability.

What you’ll do:
This role requires daily driving in your own vehicle and will support individuals in Seattle and various surrounding King County neighborhoods.
Visit job sites to coach participants using positive behavior support techniques.
Develop service plans for people on your caseload, while consulting with businesses to help develop new jobs.
Help employers develop natural supports that work.
Discover client interests and abilities and translate those into paid jobs.
Document progress toward goals using cloud-based company provided laptop.
What you’ll bring:
Minimum of one year of disability experience in human services and/or social work.
Reliable transportation and ability to drive for work including valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of auto insurance.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Patience and a great outlook on life.
We’ll provide training in the three-step process of Discovery, Job Development, and Follow-along Coaching.
