Shipping & Logistics Coordinator
South-end manufacturer/wholesale/retail business hiring an experienced shipping and logistics coordinator. Position requires demonstrated experience in all aspects of shipping and project logistics. Duties include but not limited to:
picking and packing orders, packing fragile and/or oversize orders
managing incoming inventory and outgoing orders and consignments using apps such as Shopify, Shipstation, Trello and through third party shipping apps.
Manage ongoing incoming orders and consignment requests in an orderly and methodical manner.
Relay appropriate shipping, logistical and other key project information as needed to key stake-holders
Maintain accurate packing and shipping material inventory and keep supplies replenished/stocked.
keep meticulous records through established project management apps.
Must be experienced working independently and be comfortable working in a high paced, fluid environment where shipping needs can quickly change.
Attend regular staff meetings and communicate with third party vendors, clients and stake holders.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and proactively communicate relevant and timely information to team members.
Must be comfortable with driving large trucks and vans as needed.
Experience using all manner of shipping/moving equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, palette jacks and boom lifts desired but not required. Must be willing to be trained on their use.
Candidates with basic carpentry skills also highly desired.
This position occasionally requires flexibility to work in the evenings or weekends as needed.
Occasional travel and extended offsite projects are required.
Skills required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience picking/packing/shipping and using shipping software and apps
Warehouse management experience and familiarity working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of and experience using project management apps for logistics coordination
Experience and familiarity with saving work product to cloud-based servers as instructed
Familiarity and experience loading and driving large vehicles and other shipping/moving equipment
Communicating orders and project status updates in efficient and reliable manner
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to travel for occasional offsite projects
Valid/current drivers license and background check required.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance after initial wait period, sick and vacation time.
Pay range $27.50-35.00 DOE
