The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ironing and dry folding areas within Service Linen Supply. This role ensures productivity, quality, safety, and workflow coordination while supporting and guiding team members. The Production Lead acts as a key point of contact between production staff and management to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the ironing and dry folding departments.
Ensure proper setup and safe operation of all ironing and folding equipment.
Monitor staff performance and productivity; provide training, coaching, and support as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial laundry environment.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lead by example and foster a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in work areas.
Conduct quality checks to ensure garments and linens meet company and customer standards.
Troubleshoot and escalate mechanical issues with equipment as needed.
Collaborate with other department leads and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
Maintain accurate records of production output, defects, and staff attendance.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards, including OSHA.
