CheckSum is seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer to join its design team in the production of electronic test equipment fixtures.

Primary responsibilities:
Perform mechanical design of test fixtures unique to a specific circuit board using an industry standard
CAM software, Test Sight Developer
Communicate with electrical engineers and wiring technicians to integrate electrical components with the
mechanical and physical features of a fixture
Utilize basic 2D CAD software to generate detailed drawings for assembly team
Utilize 3D software to create 3D models of fixture parts and assemblies
Requirements:
High School Diploma required, Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting or certification from technical school
preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of experience with demonstrated design capabilities
Strong attention to detail
Creative thinker with ability to visualize future results
Strong analytical skills and an enthusiasm for solving problems
Must be a team player with ability to work independently
Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong PC skills including experience with CAD
Basic knowledge of FEA and strain analysis preferred
