High Level Calibration QA Inspector

Wanted: Experienced Calibration Technician with demonstrable experience with precision measuring equipment typical of an Aerospace machine shop. This includes a wide variety of measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gages, comparators, profilometers, thread gages, indicators, vision systems etc. Applicants with time in position and an ASQ CCT would be considered a highly qualified candidate. Individuals with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing a machine shop calibration program are also encouraged to apply.

We are a family owned, AS9100/ISO9001 Company that’s been in business for over 40 years. Our customers demand excellence and we are happy to exceed their expectations every day. We specialize in high tolerance turned parts but we also have a significant amount of mill work including 5-axis. Many of our parts have features with less than .0005” total tolerance.

Candidate will be responsible for all daily activities related to maintaining our calibration program. We have roughly 1,500 active items. All items are to be kept in good calibration status, their location known, and their history traceable. The program uses a mix of in-house and contracted professional services depending on the device.

The primary roles are:

Maintenance and accuracy of the calibration database.

Performing all in-house calibrations.

Coordination of all devices are calibrated by a 3rd party.

Movements, storage, and organization

Advise management on best practices and pressing needs

As a member of a lean QA department, this team member must be willing to contribute to many aspects of Quality Assurance and compliance activities. We are a customer service organization first and foremost. The ability to positively interact with every team member on the production floor is imperative.

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Salary Range is $26 to $34 an hour and DOE, Competitive benefits package including healthcare and 401K provided.
