GRINDER and/or GRINDER/SHEET METAL HELPER (In-Training) for a Metal Fabrication MFG in Puyallup, WA 98375
Primary responsibility of a Grinder is to perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of stainless steel objects. Helper would be trained.

You will be called for interview, an if experienced may be asked to demonstrate abilities.
Essential Functions:
Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment.
Deburr, buff or polish materials to specifications.
Examine materials to ensure conformance to established standards.
Examine work pieces for defects.
Report all defects in material to the Grinding Team Leader immediately.
Ensure assigned work is understood prior to commencing.
Perform minor equipment maintenance.
Ensure that safety devices are operative.
Comply with standards and procedures of company safety regulations.
Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis and/or when required.
Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.
Complete the required paperwork.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands:
This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
This position requires long periods of standing.
The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, helmets and hearing protection is utilized daily.
This position requires lifting and maneuvering up to 50lbs without physical restrictions.
This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime.
