Reports to: Crew Production Manager

Role Overview:

The Production Assistant supports daily field operations by serving as a logistics contact for Crew Leaders and assisting the Operations team. This hands-on, fast-paced role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in keeping crews equipped, informed, and ready to work safely and efficiently. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion with attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Lead the daily Truck Rodeo (configuration of truck/trailer changes before crews leave the yard).

Act as point of contact for daily Crew Leader logistics support, reporting to the Operations Team as needed, and driving extra equipment to job sites when required.

Work with Crew Production Manager/Supervisor on daily Job Board set up to ensure safety and maximize efficiency & profitability

Support Crew Production Manager/Supervisor in work order reviews

Pre-job set up including ordering, placing and performing No Parks and 811’s

Maintains Safety Meeting Minutes and Sign-off Sheets

PPE & company issued gear supplies management, tracking, issuing and ordering

Tree service equipment management (Cobra supplies, equipment rentals, etc.)

AM logistic support to the Crew Production Manager (opens yard, Truck Rodeo, adjusts CRM with updated project board information, send out board screenshot)

Performs job site safety audits as directed by Crew Production Manager

Ensures that crew has all required equipment and supplies (Sonetics charged, supplies ordered, trucks inventoried)

Ensure “Up to Snuff” compliance with production vehicle supplies and equipment

Supports production team by shuttling equipment/repairing equipment onsite as needed

Truck and Equipment cleaning as needed

Maintains, Cleans and Organizes crew locker room and supply closet

Call back support and repair, as needed

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

2-3 years in the tree care industry preferred

Knowledge of safe and proper tree care, including pruning techniques, PHC/IMP, climbing and rigging systems and stump grinding

Valid WA State driver’s license and clean MVR

Current CPR certification (or the ability to obtain within the first 3 months of hire)

Basic knowledge of fleet and small engine repairs

Requirements and Skills:

The ability to lift, push, and pull 100 pounds

The ability to respond quickly to sounds

The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

The ability to work in varying environmental conditions

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day

The ability to reach overhead

The ability to grasp objects for prolonged periods of time

The ability to hear verbal commands

The ability to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and heavy machinery

The ability to stand for extended periods of time
