Maintenance Assistant needed - Part-Time - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am-4:30pm (Tukwila, WA)
This position could be ideal for someone going to school, semi-retired or strictly looking for part-time work.
Not recommended as a second job on top of full-time employment.
Canyon Estates Condominiums is looking to hire a part-time person who will be assisting with maintenance duties as follows:
- Garbage collection and compacting (driving a John Deere utility vehicle, valid driver's license required).
- Pressure washing siding/parking lots, painting interior/exterior/parking lines as needed.
- Landscaping (mowing lawn, trimming trees and bushes)
- Minor drywall repairs, including installing drywall, texturing and painting.
- General cleaning of the building common areas.
- Picking up litter with a grabber tool around the property.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with projects where two persons are needed or required.
- Others duties/tasks as assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
Other Factors: Previous maintenance experience is preferred but not required (willing to train the right person). Some interaction with residents is expected, so a courteous attitude is required. The ideal candidate must be physically able to lift 50 pounds, and stand, walk, bend/stoop for a couple of hours at a time between breaks. Daily tasks should be done as efficiently as possible, with or without direct supervision.
The maintenance assistant is responsible for punching a daily time card. Must maintain a pleasant working relationship with residents, and be discreet in conversations regarding Canyon Estates business.
Compensation is $23.00 per hour for the probationary training period of 90 days, then a potential increase of $1 per hour.
