Seeking General Landscape Laborer
Tasks include: landscape service maintenance, lawn, shrub and tree care, mowing, edging, raking and blowing, digging trenches and holes, installing mulch, rocks, dirt, moving heavy objects, working with hands; other duties may include repairing irrigation systems, fencing, decking, hardscapes, drainage, and other landscape construction; complete jobs, fill out daily work logs, effectively communicate with the Supervisor daily about progress, and report any problems promptly; plan out labor and materials, as well as make appropriate decisions in the field, provide your own transportation and be able to transport yourself between multiple job sites throughout the Snoqualmie Valley and limited locations on the Eastside
The right candidate must be able to safely and properly use hand tools, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, pick axes, digging bars, lawnmowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, aerators, thatchers, chainsaws and other power equipment, pruning equipment including pruners, loppers, pole saws, chainsaws, and hedge trimmers. Must wear appropriate PPE.
The following tasks are desired but can be trained on-the-job:
-Ideal candidate has knowledge of correct timing and method of pruning for different types of plants.
-Candidates should have understanding of different types of fertilizers, how to calibrate application equipment, and how to apply correctly to various areas.
-Employees will need to understand how to program and manually operate various sprinkler timers to evaluate plant needs and coverage.
-Able to cut and repair pipe using proper PPE, use of primer and glue, testing systems for leaks and flushing correctly, setting and adjusting various kinds of sprinkler heads and systems.
prior landscape experience is a plus
must be able to work with hands, lift heavy objects (80-100 pounds).
must be able to work outside in the elements at all times of the year.
Horticulture certification is a plus, but not required.
Availability: Monday through Friday 8AM-6PM (40hrs/week)
Paid Holidays
$20-$35/hour DOE
Mileage between jobs reimbursed at Federal rate, currently $0.70/mile

We design, install, maintain and repair all aspects of landscaping including hardscaping (decks and fences, pavers and block work).
