OUR HOME

The client is a friendly "computer nerd" with a good attitude and many interests. He lives in his home with a small team of live-in caregivers. We try to make it not just a job, but a quiet happy home.

THE JOB

This paid in-home caregiver position is for a male client in Bothell. We are looking for someone who can work multiple shifts midweek, a combination of morning, afternoon, evening, and bedtime for a minimum of 20 hours per week. There is potential for more hours for the right person.

- Mornings: prepping medications, breakfast drink, bowel program, bed bath, dressing, transfer (with a lift) to wheelchair, brushing teeth, etc.

- Afternoon: preparing meals, light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, garbage, pass vacuum, etc.), being available to assist client as needed.

- Occasional driving client in his ADA accessible van to errands or to appointments. Helping organize client's stuff or work on personal projects as needed.

- Evening: preparing meals, light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, garbage, pass vacuum, etc.) being available to assist client as needed.

- Nighttime: help administer medicine, follow bedtime routine, prepare tooth-brushing supplies, get into bed, making sure he is comfortable

Current CNAs or HCAs are preferred but we are willing to train the right individual. (We have had great success in the past with people who had little to no caregiving experience.) Pay and training is through COPES, so you must be eligible to be hired in the US. If you do not have a current license, a paid 70-hour training course will give you a Home Care Aid license upon completion. CNAs receive a higher salary. See the following link for information regarding benefits through SEIU 775.
