Part-Time Dishwasher/Prep

Job Summary:

Dishwasher/Prep position is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of assigned station(s) and is expected to have a high sense of urgency to ensure each BOH station is stocked with the necessary cookware and ingredients to function during peak service hours. Must be team-oriented while able to stay positive and respectful to themselves and the team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

-Safely handles food prep equipment such as but not limited to, dishmachine, Vitmamix, food processor.

-Maintains and ensures high standards of cleanliness for each BOH workstation.

-Proactively collects dishes and restocks plates, bowls, ramekins and all necessary utensils.

-Properly washes, stacks, and stores plates, bowls, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.

-Ensures that all dish related chemicals are stocked and dispensed at correct levels.

-Ensures that all food debris is cleared from the dish machine, triple sink and floor drains.

-Maintains FIFO (first in, first out) of all products to avoid and/or minimize food waste.

-Ability to safely maintain a high degree of pace, intensity, and cleanliness for extended periods of time.

-Ability to Multitask, follow directions from Kitchen Manager, Operations Manager, MOD and leads for any other assigned tasks.

-If needed, assist with running food and bussing tables to support FOH.

Required Skills/Abilities:

-Nights, weekends, and Holiday shift availability

-Thorough understanding of good hygiene and food safety rules

-Ability to multitask safely in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to maintain calm and professional in times of peak service

-Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently

Education, Experience, Licenses:

-Valid WA State Food Handlers Permit required

-6+ months kitchen experience desired

Physical Requirements:

-Prolonged periods of standing/walking.

-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

-Must be able to work on feet for 8+ hours a day.

-Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, stand, reach, and grasp.
