Correctional Industries (CI) within the Department of Corrections (DOC), is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to fill permanent Correctional Industries Supervisor Assistant (CISA) positions in Food Service. These positions are located at Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, Washington. The shift time for these positions are 4:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Correctional Industries is a unique blend of business and government, using private industry tools and techniques to provide a public service. Operations within the state correctional facilities are supported by sales to state agencies, county and local governments, and not-for-profit organizations. CI is committed to maintain and expand incarcerated work training programs which develop marketable skills, instill and promote positive work ethics and reduce the tax burden of corrections. These positions support that objective by assisting with the supervision and training of incarcerated workers in the food services industry.
The ideal candidate will have one or more years of experience in the food service industry or as a Correctional Industry Supervisor Assistant. As a CISA, you will ensure safe and secure operations, document and provide feedback on incarcerated induvial job performance and behavior, supervise incarcerated individuals in operating and maintaining equipment and more.
