Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a revenue accountant in Seattle, Washington to assist one of our large tech clients while they go through an ERP implementation. This is a long-term contract opportunity that is expected to go through Spring 2025 and involves revenue accounting, month-end close responsibilities, and financial package preparation. This position will be required to go onsite two days a week in Seattle (free onsite parking provided). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promptly managing payment requests while adhering to business guidelines and revenue recognition accounting standards. Prepping revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations. Handling month-end close tasks such as journal entries creation, balance sheet reconcilement, fluctuation analyses, and reviewing analytics. Providing support during audits. Creating monthly financial packages. Helping with the roll-out of new financial management software and formulating associated programs and procedures. Creating and overseeing budgets. Overseeing agreements and creating methods, strategies, and tools to mechanize tasks and impact financial choices. Carrying out impromptu reporting and assigned tasks.Requirements Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Demonstrates proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Has experience with Bank Reconciliations Proficient in maintaining and managing General Ledger Experienced in preparing and posting Journal Entries Capable of handling Month End Close procedures Proven ability to work in a high-tech engineering environment Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Complies with all company policies and procedures.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
