Description We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. This hybrid role (on-site primary) offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure financial transparency and compliance. Utilize Microsoft Excel and AS400 for financial data management and reporting. Prepare journal entries to keep track of all business transactions. Oversee the month-end close process, including flux analysis and accruals. Prepare financial statements to provide a detailed account of the company's financial status. Maintain the general ledger to ensure all financial data is accurate.Requirements Proven experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger management Experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures Knowledge of AS400 accounting software Ability to prepare Financial Statements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy in all work Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
