If so, we want to talk to you!The Devices Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale and highly visible initiative of enabling services to leverage new AWS regions and platforms, with the objective of improving scalability and efficiency of our services. Migrating to new AWS regions and platforms also helps our services to improve customer latency and reduce blast radius in case of region failures. This is an opportunity to orchestrate large cross-organizational programs and deliver high impact results. The Device Software and Services team builds services that enable critical customer experiences across all Amazon devices including Kindle, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Amazon Echo, Smart Devices in addition to Amazon experiences on 3rd-party devices. These services include device registration, device setup, over the air software updates, device analytics, cloud to device messaging, and device management services.If you’d like to join us, here are some skills that are key to success in this role: Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills Well-developed organizational skills, successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, TPMs, and software development teams Foster a culture of candor and respect, facilitating communication at all levels Effective negotiation skills; be able to make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. cost), and drive appropriate schedules, while being willing to readjust priorities to ensure the right customer, technology, and engineering outcomes Ability to deliver results and balance short term goals against long termKey job responsibilities Drive high-priority & high-visibility goals across multiple organizations Drive monthly & quarterly business reviews and provide program updates to leaders 3 levels above Be able to influence organization roadmap priorities and technical direction Represent difficult trade-off decisions and solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above to help them understand decisions and options Manage cross-functional and cross-organization communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed, and needs are aligned Guide the technical direction and decisions to deliver solutions that meet Amazon high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellenceBasic Qualifications

7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
