If youare a nurse with a passion for neurosurgical care and want to be part of a collaborativeteam committed to excellence, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position!Not only does this nursing position help to anchor the pre and post surgical care for ourpatients, it also offers numerous opportunities for professional development, clinicalenhancement and leadership development Come be part of our team!Our nurses manage all aspects of the presurgical screening and education, includingcognitive screening, detailed medication review, social determinants of health and postoperative management. The RN has scheduled post-op face to face visits. Post-opvisits may involve staple removal, wound management, nutritional assessment andmedication/pain management review.RN’s attend and participate in a weekly general spine conference and a monthlycomplex spine conference. The purpose of the conference is to provide amultidisciplinary approach to care and decision making for surgery. The conferenceincludes surgeons, APP’s, nurses, social work, anesthesia and psychiatry andneuropsychologists.RN’s partner with the APP’s and surgeons. Coordinating and facilitating quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care.

Providing skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources

Supporting the care team in the provision of patient care.

Providing patient advice

Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic

Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant's clinical competency.

Qualifications

Current Washington State licensure as an RN

CPR certification is required every two years

Bachelors of Science of Nursing Preferred

Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.

This position may allow the RN to work up to 1-2 shifts per week remotely (schedule may vary)- based on the needs of the clinic. Important: any remote work would begin once the RN has completed a full orientation and training onsite in the clinic.
