This Position is Contingent on Contract Award.This position is in support of a proposed repatriation initiative.  The purpose of the facilities is to provide comprehensive care for migrant individuals who are awaiting reunification or repatriation.  This care will begin as soon as each occupant arrives at the facility and will last until their arranged departure. The comprehensive care includes but is not limited to initial screening and exams, identifications of prior conditions and allergies, day to day care of routine, urgent and emergent medical conditions.     The Lead Clinical Counselor or Social Worker is responsible for overseeing and guiding the clinical team in providing high-quality therapeutic services to clients. This role involves developing and implementing treatment protocols, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations, mentoring staff, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes the mental health and well-being of immigrant families seeking care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and direction to the clinical team in delivering culturally competent therapeutic services to immigrant clients and their families, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Develop and implement treatment protocols and support programs aimed at addressing the unique psychological, emotional, and social challenges faced by immigrant populations. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs, helping to create individualized treatment plans that consider cultural background and acculturation factors. Mentor and train team members on effective counseling techniques, legal considerations, and trauma-informed care approaches specific to immigrant communities. Collaborate with community organizations, legal services, and other stakeholders to coordinate holistic support and resources for clients navigating immigration processes. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical interventions and programs, making necessary adjustments based on client feedback and program outcomes. Advocate for the rights and needs of immigrant clients within the mental health system, facilitating access to additional services as necessary. Lead crisis intervention efforts for clients experiencing acute distress related to immigration issues, ensuring immediate safety and support. Maintain thorough and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, as well as oversee reporting procedures for the clinical team. Stay updated on immigration policies, mental health trends, and best practices in counseling to improve service delivery and client outcomes within the organization. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
