Low Voltage CAD Drafter/Designer

Seeking experienced drafter/designer for growing Low-Voltage Electrical Contractor. Ideal candidate shall have minimum 3 years drafting & design experience of Low-Voltage Electrical Systems, including but not limited to, Telecom, Access Control, Video, Area of Rescue, & Intrusion. Candidate’s 3 years’ experience shall include knowledge in Fire Alarm design, including pressurization systems and emergency voice evacuation systems. Specific knowledge with Kidde VM-1 Fire Alarm Systems is a plus. This is a mostly remote position; ideal candidate will be required to report to corporate office in Mill Creek once a week, or more as needed depending on business needs. BOLD Low Voltage is a low voltage electrical contractor specializing in new construction multifamily residential construction projects. BOLD Low Voltage installs Fire Alarm, Access control, IP Video / CCTV and Telecom Systems.

Job Qualifications:

Previous low voltage construction experience (preferred)

Prior experience in Microsoft office applications: Word and Excel

Experience in Bluebeam (PDF editing program)

A self-managed, positive attitude, works well in an open setting and strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate through zoom/teams daily

Proficient in AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT with the ability to create 2D low voltage installation drawings and manage projects specific to customer needs

Ability to work on multiple jobs at one time

Possess the ability to take professional criticism around changes/rework in completed drawings in stride and is more focused on learning from mistakes and providing an acceptable completed product

Detailed oriented individual with strong organizational skills

Excellent drafting, written and verbal communication skills, able to work with a team environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Track, manage and update AutoCAD drawings from project kick-off through final permitting

Research product information as needed to ensure accurate and complete drawings

Physical Duties and Responsibilities

May be asked to perform tasks that require long periods of standing, sitting, bending, twisting or reaching above the shoulders

Comfortable sitting at and using a computer all day

Ability to climb and descend stairs repeatedly throughout the workday, if needed

Candidate may need to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs

Job may require travel and conference attendance

Schedule:

8-hour shift (standard)

10-hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime

Compensation:

Full Time Employment.

$24-32/hr. depending on experience
