NIGHT Concierge Front Desk

The concierge desk is an integral part of the Mary Schwartz Summit community. The concierge desk is responsible for monitoring all surveillance cameras, doors, and life safety systems, which includes verifying visitors are properly identified and correctly signed in. The concierge desk also provides a resource for residents, families and staff – helping to trouble-shoot and address various matters presented throughout a day/shift.

Schedule available: Overnight/NOC

Shift available: Hiring both FULL and PART time!

The concierge desk contributes to the safety of the Mary Schwartz Summit community by acting as a point of contact for some resident emergencies (basic first aid, response to fire alarms) – this includes calling 911 when necessary and acting as a liaison between staff and first responders. Additionally, the concierge desk acts as first point of contact for fire safety related issues (responding to smoke alarms, interacting with Seattle Fire Department when needed).

The concierge desk is responsible for answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages and ensuring communication is consistent between residents, families and staff. The concierge desk is responsible for community mail, including logging and delivering packages to residents and ensuring deliveries to the Mary Schwartz Summit are properly handled and routed.

-Responsible for observing all entrances and exits of the building. This includes monitoring surveillance cameras, buzzing people into the building after verification, and asking all guest and residents to sign in and/or out of the building.

-Screen phone calls before transferring to the appropriate person or department, utilizing appropriate phone etiquette.

-Responsible for completing daily resident check-ins via an automated system and follow-up phone calls.

-Responsible for following fire alarm procedures and other emergency response. This includes calling 911 for emergencies, coordinating with the nursing staff and providing information when needed (face sheets from electronic medical record system, apartment number).

-Responsible for maintaining a system for checking in and checking out of keys to the building.

-Responsible to ensure that the front desk area remains organized, clean and remains clutter-free.

-Maintain internal logging system for items such as mail, keys, packages and scheduling of resident transportation.

-Updates to daily reports including Concierge and Maintenance Reports, Resident Information, Resident Census, Resident Phone List, Resident Family Email List and Resident Family Mailing List.

-Acquire and maintain First Aid & CPR Certifications

-Attends Concierge staff meetings as requested.

-Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Must have initial Covid-19 Vaccination

REQUIRED ABILITIES:

-Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook

-Minimum 1 year of experience answering phones and transferring calls.

-Comfortable with entry level office tasks such as printing and making photocopies, laminating, mail forwarding, and distribution of miscellaneous materials.

-Attention to detail and the ability to multitask, problem solve and communicate events accurately to management.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond calmly and politely to all residents, visitors and staff.

-Able to stay calm and focused in an emergency and ability to work independently with or without direct supervision.

-First aid and CPR certified
