A privately owned, non-union demolition company, incorporated in 2006, specializing in Commerical interior and exterior, both structural and non-structural demolition, seeking experienced estimator to add to our team.
Key Responsibilities -
Look and qualify projects to bid within our travel range. (We are willing to work out of state is the schedule allows, although PM's will stay local, other than potentially walking the job, if necessary)
Prepare detailed, competitive, yet profitable proposals to GC's, public works, private facilities etc.
Manage all projects from start to finish. Our accounts receivables department handles all payment applications and lien waivers, but all schedule, submittals, job costing, job tracking, change orders etc. is the responsibility of the Project Manager/Estimator who bid the job.
Work closely with the controller on each and every job, to ensure proper billings and avoid scheduling conflicts.
Coordinate with GC or Owner on schedules and changes.
Ability to problem solve "on-the-spot" at times.
This position is for self-starters, self-motivators and someone who wants to help the company grow and can be trusted to work on a salary.
Qualifications -
Experience in commercial construction or demolition, as a project manager, estimator Etc. is a requirement. A plus if someone has experience bidding to public works jobs without having an abatement division as well as bidding for a non-union company, but not required.
Ability to problem solve and prevent issues from becoming problematic.
Strong Microsoft Office or other spreadsheet and typing software.
Ability to read, review and interpret project plans & specifications, and provide qualified bids and all submittals required.
An understanding of bidding public works and prevailing wage, sealed bid projects.
Experience using Builders Exchange, Bluebook or other proven sites posting bids.
The salaried position will come with a company vehicle, (Not reported a taxable fringe benefits) that can go home with the estimator. A laptop, a company paid cell phone, credit card for parking and fuel, will be provided. This position is considered hybrid, but with an incentive of full remote eventually. We give generous bonus's and pay increases, based on performance. We believe in putting our employees coming first, because we understand we would not have a company without them, which has led to very little turnover in at least a 10-year period. Some have been with us from the beginning.
