CRJ Construction, a leader in Concrete Grinding and Polishing, is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of pre-construction estimating while contributing to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for diverse projects.
Analyze plans, specifications, and scopes of work to identify material, equipment, and labor requirements.
Utilize estimating software to generate detailed cost breakdowns and track project budgets.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project clarity and timely approvals.
Monitor project costs, implement cost coding, and manage change orders to maintain profitability.
Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and Proposals for Improvement (PIPs) to address project discrepancies.
Negotiate contract changes with a focus on securing beneficial terms for CRJ Construction.
Manage the procurement of additional materials and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of estimating experience or a Bachelor's degree in related field and 1 year of experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Proficiency in various estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information concisely.
Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Independent work ethic with the ability to develop and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
Strong ethical principles and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Competitive salary ($60,000-$70,000 DOE)
