We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FULL charge bookkeeper to monitor the finances of our growing company. On a daily basis, you will record all financial transactions, many checks and credit cards, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate. You will also be responsible for maintaining all financial records, completing required tax forms, and generating regular reports. You will be prepping the books for the CPA to complete the annual tax returns. Our ideal candidate has worked as a professional Bookkeeper for at least three years and has experience managing large bank accounts.
Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities
Review financial transactions for accuracy
Input transactions into the correct ledger
Handle AP past dues, statements, and vendor calls/emails regarding account status. Keeping the A/R under 90 days
Reconcile bank and other accounts
Pay vendors as they come due
Complete required tax forms- Dept of Revenue, L N I, city, state and federal
Make bank deposits and record all credit card transactions
Maintain deprecation schedule and fixes assets reporting.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual state and federal compliance reporting and tax filings.
Bookkeeper Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in business administration, accounting, finance or relevant field.
2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
Must have QuickBooks Online experience and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and math skills
Knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping principles
Must be a self-starter and problem solver with ability to work down to transactional levels as well as manage up with solutions or recommendations, as well work in a team setting.
