Brist Mfg., Bellingham WA, a leader in custom branded merchandise is seeking an accomplished accounting assistant with 2-3 years ERP accounting and reporting system experience (NetSuite preferred), specifically working in, and owning daily AP/AR accounting functions and associated data entry.
This is a full-time, remote, work from home position (pacific standard time) Monday - Thursday (7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and half-day Fridays.
Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, accurate, and has outstanding people skills with a customer centric mindset. The ability to balance a variety of tasks, while being timely and accurate with data entry is a must in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-A/P entry using NetSuite
-Handle A/P payables via Plooto system
-Handle A/P payables through vendor sites when applicable - pulling and paying invoices
-Create and send invoices as needed from NetSuite and E Biz Charge
-Match banking and credit card transactions in NetSuite, reach out to cardholders for documentation
-A/R payment application in NetSuite
-Send monthly statements and other A/R tasks as assigned
-Issue customer credits in NetSuite as needed
-Set up new and update existing customers in NetSuite as triggered from automated emails
-Handle daily data entry of Shopify cash sales into NetSuite
-Tax payments tasks as assigned
-Assist with month-end closing tasks as assigned
-Assist with collections as needed
-Back up assistance as required to support the finance team
Required Education and Experience:
-Associate degree or higher in accounting, or a relevant business area
-2 to 3 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated success
-Fast-paced work environments with intense periods of customer and company growth
-ERP operating experience, NetSuite (preferred)
-Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and the G-Suite
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Accounting- A/R and A/P transaction entry
-Accounting- Familiar with G/L and reconciliation concepts
-Accounting- Familiar with concepts of accounting controls and separation of duties
-Payroll processing experience (Paylocity preferred)
-Data entry accuracy
-Relevant software skills and ability to leverage the computer and business related applications
-Operate confidently with Brist Mfg. leadership and sales team, working with a customer-service mindset driving positive interactions and quick turnaround of requests
-Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
-Fluency in English - written and spoken
