Description Position: Lead Epic Application Analyst Pay: $90-$115 per/hr. Negotiable with Epic or Epic Tapestry CertificationTerm: Budget approved to end of 2023 with option to renew.Robert Half has a client that is looking for a customer/business facing Lead Application Analyst with extensive knowledge with Epic. Position is hybrid in Seattle but will consider fully remote, but needs to work from one of the 37 states our client operates business in. Pay rate is negotiable for someone with Epic Certifications.Scope:
- The Epic Application Analyst will design, validate, and confirm new or changed functionality with the Epic Tapestry environment that meets department specifications.
- Lead team and product meetings for change management and decision making.
- Develop and modify Epic Tapestry system configurations that meet design requirements, and compliance/security standards.
- Provide complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected as part of application requirements gathering.
- Analyze system requirements and determine system functional specifications.
- Provide consulting support for customized implementation and installation of the software and related integration elements of Epic Tapestry for managing care.
- Prioritize system build efforts. Understand and translate the business functionality into Epic system configuration and workflow validations.
- Work closely with healthcare/clinical/corporate users and application team to design, build and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
- Gather requirements, provide fit gap analysis, and create effective technical solutions for the business needs.
- Collaborate with vendors, staff, and analysts to resolve outstanding issue relating to Tapestry design and workflow challenges.
- Conduct most phases of testing of complex requirements and executables for: unit, assembly, integration, and user acceptance tests for Epic.
- Follow project compliance procedures such as obtaining sign offs before developing program code in MUMPS or migration to production.
- Provide input on required processes and schedule dependencies on the overall project roll-out plans.
- Validation and static testing to proactively identify impact of changes upon other applications and downstream systems. Change management with upcoming production releases and application/systems monitoring production and performance of recently migrated components.
- Work in collaboration with Infrastructure, database and development teams for unit testing and integration testing.
- Epic Tapestry Certification is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements in a clear and concise manner.
- Healthcare/Clinical experience is desired.
- Previous SDLC project management experience preferred.
- Previous Epic support or power user experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to communicate to all levels in an organization, strong critical thinking skills, adaptable, flexible, initiative-taking, and willing to take ownership.
- Experience and knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to write basic to moderately complex SQL queries, as well as technical skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Jira (or similar tool.)
