Location: This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL. Department Description: We bring data from source transactional systems and models into data warehousing reporting structures for Data Scientists and Data Analysts to use in solving business problems. Our basic function is to harmonize the data from nine membership systems into one harmonized view of the data for reporting and analytics. on a daily basis we use SQL coding (Not SQL Server) to interrogate data to understand patterns, issues and solutions. Internship Project(s): Remediating reports that are now a point solution with no shared code, to use a Common Eligibility Object to reduce the time and cost of remediating the reports for KPMC. Data Analysis as required. Target Majors: Computer Science; Data Science Target Skills: Data Analysis SQL coding Informatica skill (Informatica Power Center is a tool we use to move data from one system to another). Data Warehousing basics these are my top 3 skills. Other desired skills are: Data Profiling Data Modeling Data Reporting Extract, Transfer, Load building experience, especially with Informatica Power Center. An ideal candidate will have strong Analytic and SQL skills with an understanding of Data Warehousing basics. Preferred candidates will have any kind of Database Design, Data Modeling, Data Profiling and /or Data Analytics experience.
