Electrical Test EngineerLocation: Redmond, WA - 50% Travel to Contract Manufactures Placement Type: 12 Months to Start but a managed service project Top Skills: Electronics Debug and TestExperience in a manufacturing setting or on a manufacturing floorExperience working with customers or contract manufacturesDescription:Responsible for defining and implementing manufacturing and test processes for Satellite PCBA sub-systems. You will be a key member of the development team and will be the main interface among the internal engineering and operations teams as well as our manufacturing partners.Develop test strategy, implement and optimize test setup/processes at the Contract Manufacturing sites including identification, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and diagnostic software.Work with the Design and Manufacturing teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM and DFT principles.Identify and report product failures to manufacturing and quality teamsTrain operators on the process and support recurring certification programsRecord, analyze, and report process metrics to predict and mitigate process failuresRoot cause process failures and implement corrective actionsManage configuration changes and enforce configuration control throughout the processAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field 4+ years of experience building test fixtures and complex test systems including RF Functional Tests, High Power Electrical Tests, ICT/bed-of-nails4+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems 4+ years’ experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)Preferred qualifications4+ years of experience designing and building complex test systems including ICT, bed-of-nails, BIST, and functional tests Experience in test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016) Knowledge of software tools for test automation (e.g. NI LabVIEW and TestStand, Python, etc.) Experience with power supplies, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed digital interfacesNotes from Manager:Electronics debug and testExperience in a manufacturing environment and has a EE degreeExperience in space/aerospace sector would be a big plusAny RF experience would be a huge benefitsTest Automation with Python or NIExperience building 41 PCBA’s test strategy and looking for someone that can come in who is able to pick up work already been done and oversee working being doneHardware and software developmentThey will be testing and troubleshooting incoming PCBA assemblies for the CM’sManufacturing testing for electronics; writing their own test cases and procedures to send to the CM’s for them to run and testWork Environment: 50% travel to CM’s (Nevada, Oregon, San Jose) as well as traveling to Mexico; Mexico will be the bulk of the travelExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
