Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an experienced Project Manager who is solution-oriented and customer focused to join our organization. You will be part of a team working with engineers, designers, buyers, and production personnel to lead projects creating custom electric control systems from project award to shipment of solutions. This customer-facing role requires the ability to lead multiple projects within various stages of the project life cycle while managing scope, schedule, and budget. If you excel at project management and enjoy a fast-paced customer focused environment, this career may be for you!As a Project Manager, a typical day might include the following:

Meeting with customers about their new custom electric control system solution and outlining project details such as cost, timeline, and deliverables.

Reviewing project readiness with our team of engineers, designers, and buyers, ensuring we are ready to build product.

Checking in with our Pullman and Charlotte factory leaders on the progress of builds you're managing.

Closing out/reviewing project successes to better our internal processes, customer experience, and product quality.

Seeking areas to take ownership of and drive improvements that lead to better outcomes for our customers.

This job might be for you if:

You hold a bachelor's degree in a related field or have equivalent experience.

You have four years (Project Manager II) or eight years (Project Manager III) of direct experience coordinating projects.

You are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have a high level of coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.

Experience and knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology.

Ability to manage project problems requiring creativity and ingenuity.

Enjoy solving complex problems and can adapt well to change.

You enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

You are interested in growing your career through challenging work.

You would like to help make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical.

Pay Range DataProject Manager II $58,100 - $90,900. Project Manager III $66,800 - $104,600. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
